Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, Joe’s passion for music began at just five years old, when he first picked up the drums and started playing along to cassette tapes of his favorite songs. By his middle and high school years, he was already performing across the tri-state area with the contemporary Christian band Promise, gaining valuable live experience at hundreds of venues ranging from coffeehouses to prisons.
A dedicated and versatile musician, Joe immersed himself in every musical opportunity available during school. He played snare in marching band, drums in both concert and jazz band, sang in chorus and madrigal ensembles, and performed in the musical 1776. Alongside formal training in guitar and music theory, he began writing original music and formed his first band, Conquest, marking the start of his journey as a songwriter.
After high school, Joe expanded his musical range by picking up the bass guitar, which quickly became his primary instrument. He went on to perform extensively along the East Coast with cover bands such as Direct Touch, Magnetic Salad, and Big Daddy. His career soon reached a national stage when he toured as a bassist with Benson recording artist Three Crosses, performing for audiences as large as 10,000, including appearances at the University of Tennessee.
Joe’s original band JPT, marked a major chapter in his career. As a co-writer and recording artist, he contributed to three albums and toured from Maine to Tennessee. The band shared stages with acts like Switchfoot, Sanctus Real, and Candlebox, and performed at notable venues including Rutgers University and The Starland Ballroom. In 2008, JPT earned the Momentum Award for Rock Artist of the Year and was featured on a FUSE TV reality show. Their third album, The Burning (released May 18, 2010, via Cul De Sac Records/Infinity), achieved national distribution, with the single “Deeper Than” receiving airplay on over 20 radio stations. Their modern rock rendition of “Praise Adonai” climbed to #3 on the CRW Global Rock charts, where it remained for six months.
Continuing to evolve as an artist, Joe released his solo album 2013 on July 4, 2013. He followed up with the single “I’m in Love with You” in September 2023, and his latest release, 2026, debuting on March 29, 2026.
Today, Joe remains an active performer, currently serving as a bassist/ singer for the cover band Who Brought The Dog. He also contributes his talents on bass and drums with the worship band at Grace Church in Netcong, and filling in on bass for Black Tie Groove and Screaming Broccoli. With decades of experience, Joe continues to bring passion, versatility, and energy to every stage he steps on.
